Overhaul Service

Includes ALL of the Full Service items PLUS a complete strip down, clean, and re-grease of all the serviceable parts of the bicycle.

We will generally replace most cables, casing, bearings, and any other worn parts in the overhaul bike service. This will add additional costs

No need to book you bike in

Ever been waiting for an appointment well after your booking time?

We've tried to take bike service bookings and we found they just do not work. People are late, special parts need to be ordered in, those pesky tubes go flat when you least expect them to. You end up waiting more than riding!

That is why we don't do bookings. No need to call, just bring your bike down to us at whatever time is convenient for you, drop your bike off and we will send you a text when your bike is ready.

When should I get my bike serviced?

When should I get my bike serviced? We get this question a lot.

We offer 12 months free servicing with every bike sold at Lawrencia Cycles. We always recommend coming in and getting your bike serviced by one of our brilliant mechanics within the first three months of riding. Like a car, the first service is the most crucial.

From assembly of your brand new bike to the first service a lot of stretching and settling happens. We also recommend during those first few months that you check over your bike to make sure everything is nice and tight! If you notice that the gears are not as responsive or the brakes are not working as they should then bring your bike in earlier.

After the first service is done we recommend that you get a General Service done on your new bike every 3-4 months of riding, and a Full Service yearly.

Signs that my bike needs a service

We always recommend proper upkeep of your bike. A well looked after bike not only serves you well, but also saves you money. Prevention is almost always cheaper than a cure!

If you are seeing the below signs then it is time to get your bike serviced:

  • Brakes not engaging quickly/ lever is spongy
  • Chain is squeaking
  • Chain is falling off chainring/sprocket, this should never happen
  • Gears are making grinding sounds/gears not changing smoothly
  • Any odd sounds like squeaking, any wobbles or creaks. These sounds should be looked into immediately as they are usually an easy fix but can lead to an expensive overhaul if left
