A Slice of Australian History
Gordon Lawrence Senior and his wife Violet opened Lawrencia Cycles in 1938 in the same location it is today. While the store has expanded several times over the years, the one thing that hasn’t changed is the family.
His son Gordon Lawrence now runs the business with the same ethics and customer orientated service that has helped make Lawrencia Cycles the oldest bike shop in Australia.
As Gordon explains: “Everything has changed, but nothing has changed”.

Lawrencia Cycles is located on Glenferrie Road in Hawthorn and boasts one of the largest displays in Australia of bikes ready to go, as well as a huge range of bicycle clothing, bike parts & accessories, and sporting goods from all different codes.
Expert advice is always available from our friendly staff, all of whom are cyclists themselves. The bike you purchase will be prepared by a qualified mechanic & to ensure it is maintained properly, Lawrencia Cycles offers FREE 12 month servicing for any bike sold.
