Servicing and Maintenance

It is advisable to service your bike approximately 6 weeks after taking delivery because brake and gear cables will stretch and will therefore need some adjustment. Thereafter, if you ride the bike a lot (eg. every day or so) every 6 months a service may be required. For the recreational rider, approximately every 12 months the bike should be serviced.

Which service should I get? If the bike is dirty and/or the wheels are buckled then go for a $95 service, if not then the $59 service. Our staff can advise which service would be appropriate when you drop your bike off.

How long does it take? Generally the service will be completed within 2 weekdays (i.e. drop it off Monday, get it Wednesday). If you need it sooner just give Lawrencia a call and we will try and accommodate you if we can.

Do I need to book my bike in? No, just drop the bike off at our store.

Lawrencia Cycles has a well equipped workshop to meet all your bicycle maintenance needs with three levels of servicing available;
  1. $59+ parts: This includes adjusting gears and brakes, oiling the chain, tightening nuts/bolts etc and a general inspection of the bike.
  2. $95+ parts: This includes all that is done in the $59 service PLUS the entire bike (the frame, wheels and drive train etc) is thoroughly cleaned, the cables are greased and the wheels are trued (straightened).
  3. $180+ : This service includes all that is done for $95 PLUS the bike is fully dismantled and bearings are replaced etc.
